Each lunar cycle, a thematic coupling of contrasting wedding vows is selected to explore. Each theme corresponds with the seasonality or cultural significance of that time of the year.
For example, the box around Valentine’s Day has a theme of Intimacy | Autonomy, exploring the tensions between the gift of our bodies to each other, as well as the individual control each spouse has over his/her body.
For the box near March Madness, we’ll prompt couples to explore how they navigate winning and losing together, in various contexts.
Around January - In Discipline | Grace
Around February - Intimacy | Autonomy
Around March - Winning | Losing
Around April - In Faith | In Doubt
Around May - Every Day | Every Decade
Around June - Friends | Foes
Around July - Home | Away
Around August - Richer | Poorer
Around September - Sickness /|Health
Around October - Chore | Decor
Around November - Feast | Fast
Around December - Parents | Children
New boxes drop on or around the full moon. The cut-off for orders is 10 days before the full moon. Any orders placed up to 10 days before will be shipped by the subsequent full moon.
For example: February 1, 2026 is a full moon. Any orders placed before January 22 would receive the box on or around February 1. Any orders placed after January 22, but before February 21 would receive their box on or around March 3 (the next full moon).
Yes. Or at least access to one in order to enjoy the coffee beans. For us, the grind is an important part of our ritual. We’ve used both inexpensive hand grinders and more deluxe electric grinders.
In our experience, the grinder is the most important piece of equipment in the brewing experience. We recommend a “burr” grinder over a “blade” grinder, as it provides more consistency in the grind size.
Sometimes a local coffee shop or Costco will grind outside coffee beans for free or a nominal fee. But long term, we do recommend having a grinder at home to incorporate into your ritual together.
