MAY 2026

Marriage is shaped in two ways at once: slowly over time, and quietly day by day.

The small rituals we return to become the story we’re writing together. Morning routines. Shared meals. The way we speak to each other when we’re tired. The habits that carry us through one season and into the next.

This month, we’re reflecting on the rhythms that have formed us over the last decade, and the ones we hope will shape the next. Who were you ten years ago? What daily patterns brought you here? What do you want to carry forward, and what is ready to be left behind?

Through intentional conversation and shared ritual, this month's theme of "every day | every decade" is an invitation to notice how ordinary moments become a life built together

EVERY DAY EVERY DECADE

WEEK ONE | soulmate TESTER

Alma Coffee

Our guest coffee this month is roasted by the our friends Harry and Leticia at Alma Coffee.

In the theme of days & decades, Soulmate was and is the first roast Alma ever offered. To this day, it remains a core coffee on their menu. Perfect with any brew method, with or without cream, take a moment to savor this rich washed coffee.

WEEK TWO | Honduras NATURAL

HONEY MOON COFFEE

Origin: Copán, Honduras
Farm: Finca Alejandra
Process: Natural
Roast: Light

Notes: Watermelon · Honey · Plum

You'll notice both of this month's coffees come from Copán, Honduras, and the connection runs deeper. Akin to the Finca La Unica Washed from Alma, this Finca Alejandra Natural hails from another farm of our near and dear partner, Finca Terrerito.

Where we often promote different countries of origin as having uniquely different tastes & qualities, this month's coffees serve to highlight another key indicator.

Two farms within a forty-five minute drive of one another, coffee grown in the same soil, one primary difference; how do these taste so different?

Process and roast level. Alma's Finca La Unica is washed, and roasted a little further along (hence, a medium roast). Our Finca Alejandra is natural, meaning the beans had time to dry in the sun and naturally ferment before drying, then it is roasted lightly.

We'll leave the rest to you. Savor and enjoy. For brewing instructions, visit our guide here.

RITUAL BLENDS

WEEK THREE | WEEK FOUR

The blends aren’t meant to hide the origins — they’re meant to highlight them.
By shifting the ratio, you’ll experience how balance, sweetness, and structure evolve in the cup.

WEEK THREE 70% WASHED | 30% NATURAL

Sebastian Ramirez takes the lead here with it's punchy profile, while you might find the Geisha bringing a hidden softness to the cup.

Taste and observe. Take in the warmth.

Each week, try to notice which coffee reveals itself first. Perhaps you'll find new flavors amplified by the contrasting coffees.

And of course, ask yourself: Do you like this?

WEEK FOUR 30% Washed | 70% Natural

Taste and observe.

The roles reverse yet again. In this ritual, the higher ratio of Finca Alejandra in the cup focuses the senses in a subtler way.

Savor those sips. Try to catch the subtle flavors revealing themselves in the ebb and flow of each sip.

Which cup did you prefer? Where do you and your spouse differ?
